Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 17 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Nov 15: Ghagwal police today claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 17 bovines from the clutches of smugglers. Police spokesman said that today a police party of Ghagwal police station headed by Inspector Rajeev Kumar-SHO Ghagwal and under the close supervision of Deepak Digra-Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during surprise Naka checking at NHW Tapyal signalled a truck bearing registration number JK02AC-8569 to stop for checking which was coming from Kathua side. "During checking of the vehicle, 17 Bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission. The vehicle was seized on spot and all the bovines were rescued", said sopkesman. In this regard, a case under FIR No. 147/2018 under section 188 of RPC, 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at Ghagwal police station and further invesigation was going on. |
