| Surankote people protest against PHE Deptt | | |  Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Nov 20: The people of Surankote village in Mohala Jogi in Sub Division Surankote held a protest against PHE Department.
The protesting people blocked the Poonch To Jammu Road at Surankote and staged demonstration. Raising slogans against the PHE Department, they said that water supply in the area is suspended for last many months. They said for months they are making rounds of the PHE office but get only assurances as the water supply has not been restored till date.
Later, the villagers in the form of a delegation met SDM Mendhar, Mohammad Saleem Qureshi and submitted him a memorandum, demanding immediate restoration of water supply in the area. They said that if water supply was not restored soon, they will be forced to resort to violent protest. |
