Jammu, Nov 15: To celebrate and spread awareness about art, culture, and heritage among masses, a weeklong World Heritage observance was commenced on Monday by the Department of Archives, Archaeology, and Museum at Dogra Art Museum Jammu.
The World Heritage Week which is being observed globally from 19th to 25th November 2018 was inaugurated by Commissioner Secretary Culture, Mohammad Saleem Shishghar. A special exhibition on historical documents of archives, repository at Army Headquarters, and world famous Shahamana Firdous and Sikendernama will be showcased at the museum. The historical documents objects and artifacts reflect the Dogra Art and Culture in its pristine glory.
In his address, Commissioner Secretary highlighted the importance of preservation and conversation of historical objects and artifacts. |
