Swasth Bharat Yatra flagged off | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Nov 20: A cyclothon was organised at Ramban by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) towards Udhampur from the premises of Government Higher Secondary School Ramban, here today. The rally was flagged off by principal of the school Parshotam Singh along with Deputy Director FSSAI Pritha Gosh, led by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, Taraq Ahmad Butt, under the agis of Commissionerate of Food safety J&K headed by Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Commissioner Food Safety, J&K brought forth a "Eat Right India" movement, with the motto of awareness about intake of safe, fortified, quality and nutritious food for making Nation healthier & adulteration free. As many as 40 cycling enthusiasts including NCC cadets, energetic volunteers of QRT, youngsters, school children participated with much zeal and enthusiasm, scrolled high with joy and happiness. Giving details of the movement Pritha Gosh said that this movement is running across the India with a motive to aware society to adopt health eating habit to make India a Healthy India. She further said that this movement was started in Jammu and Kashmir on October 16 from Leh and it will end at Delhi on January. All the participants dressed up in smart sporting gears, wearing jackets of SBY with proper head gears, comfortable attire and carried adequate protection. Prior to ride all the participants got registered, followed by briefing and safety instructions. Later aspiration certificates were also given to all the participants. It was an initiative & inception movement for promotion of 'Eat Right India'. |
