Shiksha Niketan School celebrates Golden Jubilee

JAMMU, Nov 27: A rainbow of colours unfurled on the stage as Shiksha Niketan Sr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2018-19 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The day was reserved for a gala Presentation. The annual day cum prize giving ceremony was celebrated at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu.
On this occasion Dr. Nirmal Singh (Speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly) was the Chief Guest and Chander Mohan Gupta (Mayor, Municipal Corporation of Jammu) presided the function with their auspicious presence along with Harinder Gupta (Vice President, BJP, J&K), Charanjeet Singh Khalsa and Ch. Vikram Randhawa were Guest of honour. The programme was commenced by the singing of National Anthem immediately after arrival of the guests. All the guests were given rousing reception on their arrival and were presented bouquet by the Principal Rameshwar Mengi along with other Incharges of the School.
The function commenced with the lighting of the Traditional Lamp by the Chief Guest, Guest of honour and The Principal of the school. A pious Ganesh Vandana was presented by the students of Middle - Wing of the school that gave an auspicious start to all the programme that was to be followed after the school displayed a power packed performance, where a variety of entertainment brought out the essence of culture, fussion and royal heritage. An Enthralling Welcome Dance and Toy Dance were presented by the blooming buds of the Pre- Primary Wing and Primary Wing.
The spectators became spell bound and mesmerized by the performance of the students. Ballet Act was enacted by the students of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar, which was based on the whole story of Shiksha Niketan from Cradle to Saddle i.e 1969 to 2018. While the spectators were enjoying the performance of the students of Ballet Act,during that time the new edition of Bagisha (THE NEWS LETTER) was released and then Tribute to India and Good Bye dance performed jointly by the students of Middle, Secondary and Hr. Sec. Wing. In between, one of the performance was presented by the teacher of Shiksha Niketan,Jeevan Nagar which was based on the Tribute to Papa that was the big surprise for everyone. All the performances were simply scintillating and highly appreciated distinguished gathering of the dignitaries and the parents present there. The gathering applauded the efforts made by the school in all such extra curricular activities as they witnessed the participants who displayed their talents in different aspects on the stage. The parents were really mesmerized when they saw their wards performance excellently in front of them.
The 50th Annual day was meticulously planned by the students and staff of the school showcased the activities to the Parents and Guests followed by the Prize Giving Ceremony. An Amount of Rs 63,000 was awarded in the form of cheques to the meritorious students who outshined in academics and yesterday an amount of Rs. 2,30,000 was awarded in the form of cheques to the meritorious students who outshined in board exams and Rs. 20,42,000 was awarded in the form of Scholarship to the meritorious students were also given.
