3456 vehicles challaned for violations | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 30: Traffic Police launched a special drive against violators particularly against visible offences all along the State.The drive was launched on the directions of Shri Alok Kumar, IGP Traffic, who reviewed traffic management throughout the State after taking the charge recently. IGP had given directions to all traffic units of J&K to launch these drives throughout the State with visible results on ground. During the drive in last four days J&K Traffic Police has challaned 1367 drivers who were driving without seat belt, 1318 for driving two wheelers without helmet, 700 drivers for overloading and wrong parking. 71 vehicles were found without valid documents and were challaned. Besides these special drives, the routine challan work for other offences also continued in the State. The IGP Traffic J&K has directed the officers to continue these drives in future also in order to curb the menace of violation of Traffic rules. |
