Kishtwar, Dec 4: The major fire tragedy was today averted in Sangrabata village on the outskirts of Kishtwar town after heroic efforts from the local youths.
As per the details available with Early Times, the fire broke out in the house of Altaf Hussain Sheikh, JE in RDD at around 10.45 am.
As soon as the neighbors saw the smoke coming out the upper story of the house, they raise the alarm as a result of which the locals immediately rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
The locals use the motor pumps of a car washing center to dou dose the flames, beside prevented it to spread the adjoining houses till the fire brigade and police reach the spot. The cause of the fire is said to be the electricity short circuit. The police is also probing the incident. |
