AGRIFEST KAIROS-2 begins

Jammu, Dec 4: AGRIFEST 2018 KAIROS-2 today begun at SKUAST-Jammu in the Baba Jitto auditorium, wherein both the teachers and students will exhibit their talents in different categories, out of which Quiz competitions , Solo and group singing and dance, Badminton single and doubles and table tennis events are being conducted during the first day . About 500 entries are there in total who are participating in different events during the four days programme.
At the outset Dr. Arvinder Singh , Organizing Secretary gave a warm welcome to the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-J Dr Pradeep Kumar Sharma who was the Chief Guest during the inaugural function alongwith the dignitaries on the dais Dr. D.P. Abrol , Chairman, Dr Prashant Bakshi, Co-Chairman, Dr. T.A.S Ganai Advisor, Dr. L.K.Sharma Member Secretary, Mr.Ali Haider Shah Joint organizing secretary, teachers and students from different disciplines of the university.
Vice ChancelloDr Pradeep Kumar Sharma appreciated the step taken by the students to conduct AGRIFEST 2018 KAIROS-2 with the remarks that these kind of events should be conducted at regular interval as these kind of extra- curricular activities are very important for the overall personality development of the students in addition to their routine studies.
He also appreciated the Chairman and the organizing Secretary alongwith the team for beautifully organizing AGRIFEST -2018 . Dr D. P. Abrol, Dean Faculty of Agriculture give his remarks with a quote that "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy ". He was of the opinion that all the students should come forward and participate in these events. In the end, Ali Haider Shah , Joint Scretary gave a vote of thanks to the august gathering.
