JAMMU, Dec 23: Sonam Sharma, 22, who recently bagged her first meritorious award in acting in recently concluded Annual Theatre Festival of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for her play Poshachyatra has announced a series of theatrical projects to be undertaken by her in 2019. In a statement issued by her today, Sonam Sharma said that after getting the prestigious award, she has taken up theatrics as her professional pursuit and will be taking up social issues connected to women empowerment through her theatrical endeavours ." I am quite impressed by a movement entitled Theatre of Convenience practiced in state and will be exercising my expertise under its patronage to come up with social issues of importance related to public , especially women empowerment," said Sonam Sharma. Besides getting her first award in theatrics for play Pishachyatra , Sonam has been an active participant in various stage plays that include Sultan, Aathvan Sarg, Kanjoos, Parchhaiyan and Shadain. "Theatre has been passion with me since childhood as I have been a frontrunner in all art programmes in the school and have earned many recognitions . This award has given me confidence to broaden my passion to far end and I am quite excited to take up new ventures ," said Sonam Sharma Detailing about her projects for 2019, Sonam said that since theatre is the strongest medium of expressing public opinions, grievances and other issues , she is working on different issues and will soon be releasing the calendar of events for 2019. |
