| JKFFA celebrates birth anniversary of Justice MC Mahajan | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) today celebrated 128th Birth Anniversary of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan, first Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir State and third Chief Justice of India at Dogra Shourya Sthal Amphalla, under the Chairmanship of Ved Gandotra.
A large number of people including intellectuals, professionals, social activists attended the function. Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Mahajan emphasized the people to follow the path shown by Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan for the betterment of the society. He said life and death is part and parcel of human birth and in this cycle of birth and death the great souls which come to existence, we should look up to them and our ideal in order to make some contribution towards the society and our country, for the better future of this world. He further said that it was Mehar Chand Mahajan's genius to become as Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 during the reign of erstwhile Maharaja Hari Singh. Paying rich tributes to Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan on his 128th Birth Day Anniversary, Mahajan said that contribution of Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan in uniting Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and his philanthropic service to the society would always remain alive. He said Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan played crucial role in advising Maharaja for taking decision regarding accession of J&K State with India and appealed to follow the path shown by him. |
