Mendhar, Dec 23: Several villages of Noral area of Chattral in Mendhar sub Divsion are without water, as supply line is defunct for the last two months.
The villagers alleged that motor of Noral PHE pumping station went out of order two months ago, due to this the water supply to several adjoining villages and hamlets has been affected. Mustaq Ahmed Fani, a social worker said the matter was also brought to the notice of PHE staff at Mendhar Sub Division, but they claimed that fault pertained to PHE Mechanical wing Poonch.
The villagers urged upon the higher authorities to ensure water supply to the area. Fani urged upon the Deputy Commissioner Poonch to come to the rescue of helpless public. |
