Manohar criticizes previous BJP Govt for neglecting Kandi area | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 23: Senior Congress leader and President DCC Kathua Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma while addressing public meetings at village Gurha mundian & Amalla Dhaloti of block Barnoti, today criticized previous BJP government for neglecting Kandi areas of states on all fronts. He also facilitated newly elected sarpanches and panches and said participation of youths and females in just concluded panchayats elections is a positive sign. While addressing he said newly elected panches & sarpanches to work for overall development of panchayats and work as leader of whole panchayats and not of a particular set of people in order to fulfill the dream of Late PM Rajiv Gandhi for panchayati raj as 3 tier local self government. During the meeting people apprised Dr. Sharma of the problem faced by them especially shortage of drinking water. They also made demand for tube well at garnari to cater the shortage of water to which Dr Sharma assured that he will raise their issue with local district administration for early redressal. He further lambasted BJP govt & its leadership for dividing country on communal lines. He said Bjp talks of temples but 250 ancient temples alone were demolished during BJP rule in past 4 years. He said BJP adopt tactics of temple only when elections are near to communalize the masses and once elections are over they forgot temples. Also he said presently BJP is thinking themselves above gods and now they started defining the castes of gods also. Others present in the meeting were Subash Gupta ex-mlc, sarpanches Sheetal Sharma, Madhu Sharma, Karan Manhas, Ladi khajuria, Vinod Kumar, Ranjana Slathia, Manju Pathania, Naveen Singh Jasrotia and others. |
