Vijaypur, Dec 23: Over a dozen people from different political parties on Sunday joined Indian National Congress (INC) at Vijaypur.
In a statement, former Minister and District President, INC, Samba, Manjit Singh welcomed the people in the Congress party who expressed their faith in the party.
"People are coming in support of Congress party across the country and AICC President Rahul Gandhi will lead the nation," said Manjit Singh, in his welcome address.
Former Minister expressed hope that in Jammu and Kashmir too, Congress will form Government on its own and will ensure all over development in all the three regions of the State.
"People have faced other political parties who have miserably failed to bring back peace in Kashmir, give employment to the unemployed, and development in the under developed areas of the State," said Manjit Singh.
He said that it is only Congress party which can keep the State united. "If Congress party forms next Government, they will work for the welfare of down trodden section of society, and farmers especially," said Manjit Singh. |
