Jammu, Jan 8: Members of Prayaas NGO today called on Youth Activist and Entrepreneur Tahir Rufayee here. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the initiatives taken by Team Prayaas for Youth Empowerment, Child Education and Health. A social group namely Prayaas-Lets bring back the golden India, is a social initiative led by some inspiring social activists Navjot Bakshi, Rahul Prasher, Shubam Bali, Barbie Basotra, Neha Sharma, Rajat Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Rinku Sharma, Sanjeev Anand, Swayam Bali and Veeram Dutta. They collect clothes, books, shoes from people and distribute among slum children and needy people. Also they provide free tuition to needy students and sponsors for their education. Prayaas Team has more than 100 volunteers across the state. Their main motto is the upliftment of poor section of the society. Recently many events were held by Prayaas team at various slums in Jammu. Rufayee appreciated the hard work of Team Prayaas for their hardwork they are doing for the welfare of poor and downtrodden masses and also assured support to the NGO under CSR Program. |
