| Woman found hanging, parents demand judicial inquiry | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: A woman was found hanged under mysterious circumstances while parents of the deceased demanded judicial inquiry in the matter.
Police sources said that today at 1045 hrs Kana Chak police telephonically informed by unknown person that one Seema Devi wife of Gurjeet Singh of Village Bachyal (Jaswan) daughter of Angrez Singh of Lalyal (kana chak) (Jaswan) hanged herself at home kana chak.
Acting on the information, police immediately rushed on spot but parents of the deceased lift off the body and proceeded towards Mishriwala-Akhnoor road where they kept the body and blocked the on main road at 1150. Parents of the deceased along with others staged protest demonstration and demanded judicial inquiry against in-laws of the deceased.
Later police reached the spot and pacified the protestors. Police said that they have started questioning from the in-laws of the deceased and started inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain exact reasons behind her death. |
