Bail denied in kidnapping, rape case | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 8: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita rejected the bail application of Imtiaz Ahmed facing trial in rape and kidnapping case. In the application petitioner alleged that had been falsely implicated in the case as the complainant has voluntarily contracted marriage with him in presence of the witnesses under Mulsim Law. Therefore his involvement in the case is unwarranted. Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita after hearing Public Prosecutor Rashi Baru for the State observed that allegations against accused person are serious and trial is going on for offences allegedly committed by accused. Rape or attempt to rape is a crime not against an individual but a crime which destroys the basic equilibrium of the social atmosphere. The incident of rape creates an incurable dent in the fabric of the social milieu and society as the whole is compelled to suffer. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. |
