Jammu, Jan 8: The J&K Co-ordination Committee of Trade Unions (JKCCTU) demonstrated protests in support of two days National Bandh given out by Central Trade Unions and Employees Federations specifically by All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF). Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary, JKCCTU blamed the current government for creating havoc and added that the current ongoing Neo-Liberal Economic and anti-people policies of privatization, outsourcing, contractorisation, attack on hard earned rights of social security systems like pension and labour rights, wage cut, freezing of permanent jobs and such other things were nothing but a big trouble for the working class. He also attacked the current governor's administration and forced that the system has utterly failed to deliver the issues of the working class and believed that the same will intensify the struggle in the coming days. He added that besides the issues pertaining to the Government's Anti-Employees policies, the demand for scrapping of PFRDA with immediate effect, demands for continuing of statutory pension scheme and regularization policy for all temporary workers like Casual, contract Aanganwadi, Asha etc with a minimum wage not less than 18000 pm, implementation of Supreme court decision for equal wages for equal work, were made. He further said that the demand for regularization of PDD daily wagers were made through DPC under SRO 381 was also put forth. The comrades pledged to take carry the struggle to indefinite limit if the demands are not met. |
