TNWC criticizes Housing department for charging Rs. 40,000 per marla | | | Jammu, Jan 11: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) has criticized the Urban and Housing Development Department for their decision to charge Rs. 40,000 per marla to give hold rights to the residents on their plots. A meeting was TNWS was held under the chairmanship of Rajinder P. Kakkar, in which several demands were discussed and a resolution was passed in which they sought slash in the fee, being decided to charge from local residents. As, the board of directors of Urban & Housing development department in their 80 th meeting approved free hold rights in the favour of the Trikuta Nagar residents with the condition of Rs.40,000/- per marla, which is injustice with the residents of locality, they said. While in the case of Channi himant colony Jammu government charged Rs. 5000 per marla after the lapse of lease hold rights. The lease hold rights of Trikuta Nagar colony have still 60 years time. As per the calculations the fees should be Rs.2000/- per Marla, they said and requested the Advisor KK Sharma to review the decision. |
