| Govt forms panel for providing drinking water, electricity in schools | | |
Srinagar, Jan 11: The government on Friday accorded sanction to the constitution of a District Level Committee for ach-ieving 100, per cent saturation of toilets, drinking water and electricity in Government Schools.
Headed by respective District Development Comm-issioner, the committee has been tasked to make an actual assessment of deficient schools on the minimum requirement basis and preparing of Detail Project Report(s) for the purpose.
The 5-member panel, has been also tasked to monitor the works executed by different agencies i.e Public Health Engineering, Power Develop-ment Department and Engineering wing of the School Education Depart-ment and to ensure completion of works by February 2019; and it also tasked to work out the requirement of additional funds for providing electricity, drinking water connections to the school. |
