| Fresh avalanche warning issued in Kashmir, Ladakh | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jan 11: A fresh avalanche warning has been issued in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region where moderate to heavy snowfall was experienced during the past 24 hours, an official spokesman said here on Friday evening.
He said in view of the inclement weather and snow prediction, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, on Friday issued fresh avalanche warning for nine avalanche prone districts of Kashmir Division.
The warning has been issued for the avalanche prone areas in district Anantnag, Kulgam, Budg-am, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Ganderbal in Kashmir and Kargil and Leh in Ladakh region.
Divisional Commissi-oner has directed the Deputy Commissioners of all these districts to advise the people living in avalanche prone areas not to venture out to avoid loss of lives. |
