| JKSAC highlights pending demands of DPs | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 11: In continuation of awareness drive launched by Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) to educate DPs of 1947 from POK regarding their long pending legitimate issues / demands as per JPC report viz-a-viz, (1) Rs 30 Lakhs relief / compensation for the left-out properties, (2) Reservation for their wards both in State and Central Govt. Jobs and educational institutions, (3) Reimbursement of Rs 2500 with interest deducted as cost of allotted land/quarters/plots, (4) Compensation in lieu of having deficiency in allotted land for over 4000 families, (5) Mutaton of plots under the DP's dwelling in different colonies, (6) Identification of lands for allotment plots to Urban category, a meeting of members of Miran sahib Panchayat was held wherein all the units were urged upon to gear-up to meet upon the challenges the DPs are facing in connection with the reservation of said issues. The members also urged upon Satya Pal Malik to take cognizance of the unresolved issues and prepare a comprehensive road-map as per the JPC report on Home Affairs. While addressing the meeting Gurdev Singh President JKSAC welcome and express his gratitude to Narendra Modi, PM by providing 10% reservation to the economically and educationally backward sections of upper classes irrespective of caste and religion and term it as ahistorical step. |
