Rajouri, Jan 11: An Awareness Camp-cum-Seminar was organized at Nowshera by Income Tax Office, Rajouri as per the directions of Worthy Pr. Commissioner of Income Tax K M Bali & Worthy Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, Range-2, Jammu S K Sharma. The camp was attended by prominent taxpayers including Representatives of Chamber of Commerce & other Trade Associations. Some of the prominent participants were Subash Kapoor (Chairman of the Beopar Mandal, Nowshera), the Chairman of Municipal Counil Nowshera and prominent businessmen of Nowshera Dharamvir Gupta and Jagdish Sahni. The event was presided over by. Romesh Sharma, Income Tax Officer, Rajouri and was also attended by Rakesh Gupta from Income Tax Department, Jammu. The speakers of the seminar updated the knowledge of more than 200 participants who attended the meeting with latest provisions of Income tax and also requested to spread the message with other businessmen for widening of tax base. During the seminar, the Department sought cooperation from the taxpayers to realize the dream of a corruption free India and also reminded the participating citizens of their invaluable role in Nation Building through proper & timely payment of taxes. |
