Jammu, Jan 11: National Exhibition of Visual Arts by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) concluded at Kala Kendra, Jammu. A valedictory ceremony was conducted where Ramesh Arora, MLC was the Chief Guest. Jenab Sohail Kazmi, Chief Editor, Taskeen Urdu and Smt. K K Devee, a vocalist from Assam were the special guests where as O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA shared the dais. The art works of thirty eight veteran, senior and young artists from 14 states of the country were displayed in the show. Welcoming the guests O P Sharma, Director JKCCA gave a brief resume of the activities of the Centre and the exhibition. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu has been actively working for the promotion, preservation and propagation of art heritage and has organized hundreds of art & culture activities in the country. He added that JKCCA will organize National Art Exhibition of Paintings at Goa between 31st January to 3rd February, 2019 and a Miniature Art Camp will be held at Mansar in the month of March. 2019. Speaking on this occasion Chief Guest Ramesh Sharma appreciated the efforts of the Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts for the promotion of art & culture. He said that the creative people have their own viewpoint of seeing the things. He said that there is a need to patronize the art works by the public and the concerned agencies. |
