Jammu, Jan 11: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Hindi Cell today celebrated the 13th International Hindi Language Day wherein an expert talk of Prof. Shiv Nirmohi was organized under 'Meeting an Author'. Prof. Nirmohi is an astute researcher, versatile academician and prolific writer, and also authored 40 books till date. Surprisingly the octogenarian writer who also received many reputed national awards, shared his experiences with the audience. The students got an impetus after listening to his hearty talk and some of them shared their queries and discussed how they could become a great writer. During the event Dr. Ashok Sharma, Head School of Physics, Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi, Dr. Madhu Mangal Chaturvedi and others were also present. At the outset, Dr. Anil Tiwari, Nodal Officer, Hindi Cell, welcomed the guests and the participants. Some students including Sagun Gupta recited her poetry on environmental theme. During the program the half yearly magazine titled Gyandhara's Winter Issue was released. The event was successful in promoting and spreading the use of Hindi. |
