Lab Technician denies receiving money for carrying out investigations | Says powerful political lobby wants to take revenge from him | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 17: Laboratory Technician Syed Aftab Alam who has been accused of looting patients by charging money from them for various investigations at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Surasyar has denied the same saying that there is no truth in the same. The laboratory technician said that the accusation is a political gimmick aimed to malign his image since he has been speaking against corrupt practices done in construction works. Aftab said that the political goons have resorted to propaganda in order to take revenge from him since he has exposed many construction scams. Refuting the allegations leveled in the Early Times story published few days back the laboratory technician said that the referred to as poor and helpless is backed by vibrant political lobby who have been affected by him since he has launched a crusade against the malpractices of the lobby. "Freedom of speech and expression guaranteed by Article 19(1)(a) of Constitution of India is not absolute and has imposed reasonable restrictions for exercising rights in the interest of truthfulness, public order, decency, morality, which in this case seems to be infringed," said the laboratory technician. |
