Jammu, Jan 18: Two semifinals were played in an ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football tournament at the Science College on Friday.12th Christmas Gold Cup Football tournament is being organized by All J&K Christian Welfare Association. In the first semifinal of the tournament, Hero FC took on Shaheen FC. Basit scored the opening goal for the Hero FC in 29th minute. Trailing behind, Arjun scored the goal for Shaheen FC in second half taking match to the tie breaker. Hero FC held their nerves and won the game in tie breaker 6-5. Hero FC's goal keeper was the savior for the team.
In second semi final of the match, J&K PDC took on J&K Police X1. J&K PDC scored twice to seal the game and placed themselves in the finals. Aqib Mushtaq hit the net in 21st minute and scored next in the second half. J&K Police had their chances but could not capitalize.
Match referee of the match were Ricky Kumar, Suresh Gupta, Vijay Kumar, Rocky Sharma, Dheeraj Meenia, Rocky Sharma, Ajay Singh. Hero FC will face J&K PDC in the finals on the Saturday at 3:00 PM. |
