Jammu, Feb 7: Punjabi play "Ateet De Parchhawein" was presented by Manoranjan Kala Kendra (Regd.), Jammu at Luthra College of Education, Talab Tillo Bohri, Jammu today where K K Devee, a vocal artist from Assam was the chief guest and Jang S. Verman, a senior artist and columnist on art & culture was the guest of honour on this occasion. Rajiv Luthra, Chairperson, Luthra Institutes of Education presided over the programme. The staging of the play was witnessed by the members and the students of the institute. Directed by Tejinder Singh Premee, the play is written by Kapoor Singh Ghuman. The play is based on the theme that our sins can escape from law but not from our soul. The play is set in the backdrop of Kashmir. In her address K K Devee appreciated the creation and [presentation of the play. She said though she had been a non Punjabi speaking person but have seen the play for three days continuously. She said that she has been able to understand most of the content of the play and appreciated the presentation. Jang S. Verman in his address appreciated the continuous efforts of Manoranjan Kala Kendra since 1988 that the centre has been contributing to the development of Punjabi Theatre under the Direction of T S Premee. Earlier Tejinder Singh Premee welcomed the guests and informed about the activities of MKK which was established in 1988. The actors who played the roles are Aparna Sharma, Sharnam Sharma, Makhan Lal Sharma, Amarjit Kour, Ustatveer, Dazy Bazaz. |
