| People protest against PDD, PHE authorities | | |  Early Times Report
Doda, Feb 7: Heavy snowfall for last many days in Doda district, residents in Sub-division Gandoh are facing hardships due to the non-availability of basic amenities being related to water and electricity.
The residents of Gandoh area of district Doda on Thursday staged protest against the PDD,PHE authorities at Gandoh and blacked the Gandoh-Doda road for around one hour. The protestors said that in absence of scheduled power supply they face lots of difficulties especially students are the worst suffers. "We urge PDD,PHE department to ensure power and water supply as per schedule or face agitation", they warned. "We have no drinking water for past several days, no scheduled of power supply. The department has turned a blind eye towards the basic problems being faced by people of the area and demanded immediate intervention of the higher authorities for resolving the issue," said G.R Choudhary. G.R.Choudhary said the many villages of Sub-division was reeling under darkness for last several days, as the "PDD has failed to provide power as par schedule." |
