Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 7: Continuing their demand for regularisation in the health department, the agitation launched by the All Jammu and Kashmir National Health Mission (NHM) Employees' Association, entered its 25th day . Employees from Kashmir and Ladakh regions also joined the protest and vowed to continue it till their demands were met. More than 4,000 employees are on agitation. "We urge Governor Satya Pal Malik to provide justice to us as for the last 12 years, hundreds of youth are working in different parts of the state on contract," said Rohit Seth, divisional president of the association. He said successive governments had ignored their plight and they hoped that the administration would address their grievances. Their other demands include equal pay for equal work, social security benefits, 7th Pay Commission benefits and better working conditions. |
