JAMMU, Feb 8: Poem Recitation activities help the child to develop confidence, improves vocabulary and also help the students to get rid of stage fear. In order to instill love for the poetry and to develop recitation skills amongst the little ones, Delhi Public School, Jammu organized "Hindi Recitation" Competition for the students of class Nursery. The children actively participated in the competition and recited poems beautifully on the topics "Swachh Bharat", Bhartiya Sena", "Beti Bachao; Beti Padao", Bharat Desh", etc. The Competition was judged by Shelja Sharma and Payal Tandon. The first prize was bagged by Alena Arora (Nur-C) and Ashvee Katoch (Nur-A), Rizwan Butt (Nur-A) and Reedha Malik (Nur-A) stood second while the third prize was shared by Aayaansh Gupta (Nur-B) and Aamina Noor (Nur-B). The consolation prizes were received by Trisha Dogra (Nur-B) and Eva Singh (Nur-C). Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the winners and stated that such competitions develop the speaking skills and uplift the confidence in children. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta congratulated all the teachers and students and also lauded the brilliant performance of the children. President, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi Ji extended their best wishes to the children and their parents. |
