| International Delhi Public School celebrates Basant Panchami | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 8: International Delhi Public School celebrated Basant Panchami today in the premises of International Delhi Public school. The students of pre-primary wing came in yellow dresses and special assembly was conducted in the school. Students presented beautiful poems on the festival.
The programme started with the Saraswati Pooja and lightning of the lamp by the Director of IDPS- Shuchita Gupta, Administrator Naresh Gupta, Vice-Principal Rohit Gupta followed by Saraswati Vandana by the teachers of the institution.
Students presented dance items, group songs, on the occasion. Shuchita Gupta threw light on why we celebrate Basant Panchami. She emphasized that every festival is equally important and should be celebrated in every school so that our young generation can know about our cultural and importance of festivals in our lives.
Different competitions were held in the school from class 1st to 9th. For class 1st and 2nd, kite decoration competition was organized. The students decorated the kites beautifully, for class 3rd to 9th kite flying competition was organized.The administrator of the school Naresh Gupta, Vice Principal Rohit Gupta, the head mistress Rishu Sharma, co-ordinator Monika and all the staff members wished Basant Panchami to all, and seek the blessings of Maa Saraswati and prayed for the progress of the school. |
