| GDC Akhnoor organizes awareness drive on traffic rules | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 8: To stimulate community involvement in promoting road safety awareness and to disseminate information about traffic rules, NCC unit of GDC Akhnoor organized one day awareness drive on "Traffic Rules" under one week Traffic Rules celebration theme "Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha".
On the occasion Principal of the college Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma oriented the NCC cadets with the objective and benefits of the drive. The NCC cadets (boys and girls) of the college interacted and appealed to the people of Akhnoor to adhere to traffic rules of traffic and wear safety gears such as helmets, seat belts and not to use mobile phones while driving so that accidents shall not take place.
They also emphasized not to park vehicles on wrong places and advised people to keep patience while driving. They also appealed to public not to allow their children to drive the vehicles without driving license. About 50 NCC cadets (boys and girls) participated in the drive along with NCC officer Prof. Kuldeep Kumar and Prof. Sunil Kumar. |
