KAS slot disparity, ODFS lauds decision of CS for constituting committee | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 8: The Officers of Departmental Feeding Services (ODFS) appreciated the Governor administration, especially the Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam for constituting a committee of 3 senior officers to look into grievances and demands of Secretariat Service. The officers met here today and discussed the next course of action in the back drop of induction of KAS slots made by the government the other day in violation of Supreme Court rulings and Governmentt order No. 107 of 2002. The group demanded that the committee should also look into the grievances and demands of other 17 services, which are similar in nature to the grievances and demands of the officers of secretariat services. The officers said that notifying of slots, prior to making any induction, reversion of slots diverted earlier, making open the method, criteria and formula being adopted by GAD for induction to the officers of every service and departments are their primary demands. The group expressed deep concern over the recent induction in which 40 officers from direct recruits while only 13 from promotee group inducted into KAS cadre by the government despite the assurance of Chief Secretary that no diversion of slots will be allowed in future. They said that this action of the government forced the employees to go on strike and held massive demonstration in secretariat premises. The officers demanded for constitution of an inquiry committee to find out reasons of creating the disparity in KAS slots since 2002 and recommending the measures for balancing the ratio of share in KAS slots among both sources. |
