Stenography trained PG teachers demand adjustment as Lecturers | | | Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Feb 10: All J&K Non-Adjusted Stenography Teachers/ Masters Association urged upon the Governor Satya Pal Malik for creation of more posts in Stenography subject for their adjustment as Lecturers in the School Education Department. Addressing a press conference here today, Association Secretary Vinay Kumar said that there are 40-50 postgraduate teachers and masters trained in stenography subject but they were not elevated to the post of Lecturer despite the conduct of DPC in 2013-14. He alleged that some of the blue-eyed persons of the ministers were elevated as Lecturers despite being junior during the regime of previous government but seniors were deliberately ignored. He said that memorandum of the demands was also submitted to the Secretary School Education but nothing was done to redress the problem. Stenography is technical subject and every department has posts of stenographers but there are only 20 vacancies of Lecturers in Stenography, he said. He urged upon the government for creation of more posts of Lecturers in Stenography so that all PG teachers and masters trained in Stenography subject can be adjusted as Lecturers. Association president Ravi Singh and Organisor Darshan Lal appealed to the Governor to intervene personally for redressal of the long-pending demand. Mohd Yassan Khan, Kuljeet Singh and Joginder Pal were also present in the press conference. |
