The garbage is seen scattered here and there and it is difficult to pass through the potholes in middle of the road, whereas the drains of the area are also not even properly cleaned, locals said. While the park, which was made with a purpose to provide people some space to relax and stay afresh, is also in shambles as it is not being properly maintained and looked after properly. Rakesh Gupta a social worker said the area lambasted the officials of RDD Mendhar whom they visited them almost every month but didn't listen to their complaints. During rainy season water accumulates in the drains, while dust and waste material comes in open due to overflow of water resulting in scattering of garbage in the streets making it difficult to pass through," he added. Highlighting other issues of the area, iram khan said that the inhabitants of SDPO Office Mendhar situated opposite to their locality usually dump their waste near the wall adjacent to the streets resulting in foul smell causing hazardous diseases.
