| PPAP advocates separate division for Pir Panjal region | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: Welcoming the governor administration decision to grant divisional status to people of Ladakh region Party Parton, Pir Panjal Awamy Party today said that special status should also be granted to Rajouri and Poonch districts.
President of the party said that it was good that the government have understood the pain of the people of Ladakh region and sanctioned divisional status for the region.
Similarly people of Rajouri and Poonch are also demanding for divisional status from a long time. He said that the collective pollution of Rajouri and Poonch is more than Ladakh region. Meanw-hile the twin are hilly and hence deserve the divisional status.
Taking strong note on the political parties, he said that for over 70 years the ruling political parties did not pay any heed towards the demand of divisional status. Khan said that people of Rajouri and Poonch are peace loving people and don't want to come on roads for their demands. Therefore it is appealed to the governor administration and union government to consider this genuine demand of Pir panchal area and do the needful. |
