Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Trade Union (JKPTDU) has demanded regularization policy for special police officers (SPOs) working for the last many years. General Secretary of JKPTU Sewa Singh Bali whle addressing the press here at Jammu reiterated that regularization policy for SPOs should be framed. No doubt Department has enhanced their salaries Rs. 6,000/- for these having served for a period of 5 years, Rs. 9,000/- for those who served for a period of 15 years and those having served above 15 years will be paid a meager amount of Rs. 12,000/- which is injustice. "They are even getting minimum daily wages which has been fixed by the Supreme Court in case of ordinary daily wagers for road work", he said adding that they have submitted a memorandum to Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister of India, New Delhi, a second memorandum to the PM of India. The New Delhi had advised the Chief Secretary of J&K to take appropriate action for immediate redressal of regularizing policy in favour of SPOs/VDCs of J&K. "But the callous and delaying tactics of Principal Secretary, Home J&K, Chief Secretary J&K leads to the non - redressal of this issue upto this time", he said. They requested Governor to take note of such sensitive issue. Capt. Anil Gour, State Secretary JKNPP, Baldev Singh, Office Secretary and Naveen Bali were also present in the press conference. |
