Jammu, Feb 10: Amid great fun and enthusiasm, Doon Kids & Doon Hills International School celebrate annual day celebrated its 5th Annual Day function organized at Abhinav Theatre, late Saturday afternoon.
Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal was the chief guest of the occasion while SSP (retd), M A Khan was the guest of honour.
The tiny tots of the school right from Pre-Nursery, UKG up till Class V presented scintillating cultural extravaganza that enthralled the gathering including the parents of the children.
Various items were performed by the students of the school. Punjabi Bhangra, folk songs and items with a message to preserve environment and save wildlife were the highlights of the function.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman, Team Jammu while addressing the gathering congratulated the faculty of the school for inculcating such a high level of self-confidence in the students that too at such a tender age. He laid stress on parents as well as to be friendly with their wards so that they don't get a feeling of being ignored even while having all the facilities.
"Children just not require facilities. Above all, they require love and friendly atmosphere at homes as well at Schools. So, just by admitting the children in the schools, the responsibility of parents does not stop there. They must give special time to their children as this is the stage where a strong and positive foundation is required to be laid in the hearts and minds of the children that helps them in scaling new heights when they attain young age," highlighted Zorawar Singh Jamwal further suggesting to School faculty as well as parents not to pressure on the students and instead guide them to clinch their dreams.
Principal of the School, Noor Mohammad, presented a Vote of Thanks welcome. S K Gupta, proprietor Sahitya Sangam, Sr Journalist K Koushal, Gagan Kamra, Director Modi Care Company, Ali Sabar, Chairman Doon kids, Avtar, Member of Sahyog India were special invitees present on the occasion.
