| ABVP welcomes separate divisional Status to Ladakh | | |

Jammu, Feb 10: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ladakh City President Stanzin Tsetan on Friday welcomed the decision of the government to grant division status to Ladakh. In a statement issued here, ABVP Ladakh City President Stanzin Tsetan said grant of division status to Ladakh region is a welcome step, saying this was needed in the interests of the people of the remote region. Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved creation of a separate Administrative and Revenue Division for Ladakh. This division will comprise Leh and Kargil Districts with its headquarters at Leh. Other prominent abvp members City Secretary Stazin Samphal, State Executive Member Tsering Tundop and City Vice President Targyas Lobzang, Tsewang were present there. |
