Artists in Jammu, Kashmir pushed to walls: Sheikh Minhaj Larvi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: Sheikh Minhaj Larvi, a renowned socio political activist extended his grief and worry towards the artists of J&K. He was quite to state that artists are being ignored and foreign artists have been given a chance. While on Jammu Mohatsava which is organized by Tourism Department from 8 to 10th of Feb 2019 in which Aaba Hanjura, a Kashmiri Sufi singer and Sherry maan a Punjabi pop singer has been shown on hoardings instead totally ignoring local youth, Singers Dancers etc. However the local artists which are shining, getting recognition and appreciation all over the world are being ignored. But ignoring local talent on such significant events raises fingers towards the organization's interests. Sheikh Minhaj Larvi in a statement lambasted Cultural Academy of J&K for neglecting the talent of our local artists, adding that the land of Jammu and Kashmir has given birth to master talent, but unfortunately due to lack of promotion our talented youth are roaming on streets for their promotion. As compared to other states Jammu and Kashmir has beaten the talent to pulp. |
