DPS Nagbani organizes story telling competition | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 11: Jammu: A story telling competition was organised by DPS Nagbani today in an attempt of forwarding tradition, to incite curiosity and love for reading in the students. The students narrated stories and fables from their text books. To captivate the audience's attention and make the narration interesting the narrators performed spectacularly using creative props, voice modulations and impressive expressions. The participants made effective use of facial expressions, gestures and voice modulations. Students displayed excellent memory and recapitulation skills. The little story tellers won everyone's heart and were applauded. The Principal of the school R. K. Verma said that children have an innate love for stories. Stories create magic and a sense of wonder. They teach us about life, about ourselves and about others. He concluded by saying that a good story telling can do wonders to a student's imagination and can enhance his imagination. The event ended with the announcement of the winners and distribution of prizes for the competition. |
