2 drug peddlers arrested, 485 intoxicant capsules recovered

Samba, Feb 11: Acting sternly against the drug menace and its propagators on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma- SSP Samba, District Police Samba arrested two drug peddlers under the jurisdiction of Vijaypur and Ramgarh police station and recovered a total of 485 Nos. of intoxicant capsules from their possession. Police spokesman said that a police party of Vijaypur police station headed by SI Chetan Kumar under the supervision of DySP S. Baljeet Singh-SDPO Vijaypur, during patrolling in the main Bazaar VIJAYPUR intercepted one person who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
"During frisking of the said person, 275 Nos. of intoxicant capsules (PARVON SPAS PLUS) were recovered from his possession and the accused person identified as Suraj Paul of Koulpur, Ramgarh was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized", said spokesman.
He further said that in this regard, a case under FIR No. 21/2019 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Vijaypur police station and further investigation is going on.
Similarly, in another incident under the jurisdiction of Sub-Division Vijaypur, a Police Party of Ramgarh police station headed by Inspector Vikas Dogra-SHO Ramgarh during patrolling in Kamala area, Ramgarh intercepted one Ashok Kumar alias Sokiof Kamala, Ramgarh and during frisking 210 Nos. of intoxicant Capsules (SPM-PRX PLUS) were recovered from his possession.
The accused person was arrested on spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard, a case under FIR No. 12/2019 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Ramgarh police station and investigation taken up.
