BARI BRAHMANA, Feb 11: In line with teaching methodology in place an Industrial visit to Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua was organized by Dogra Degree College for its students. A group of 100 students accompanied by their teacher mentors Aradhana, Rajinder Kumar, Arushi Salathia and Sonia Gupta today visited the industrial unit. The students of the college got a chance to interact with HR Manager, Kanika and her team of engineers who briefed them about the Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua which is one of the leading company in the textile industry and one of the largest single mill setup producing spun fibre-dyed yarns in Asia. They were also briefed that the mill specializes in producing blends of viscose staple fibre, polyester staple fibre, acrylic staple fibre, lycra,cotton, linen and wool with a total production capacity of more than 120 tons of yarn per day. The students were also explained about step by step preparation of the various yarns being manufactured by the mill. The students gathered information about the working of various machines, safety, measures taken by the management, quality checks adopted by the mill so that the manufactured product is best and up to the quality benchmark. |
