Mehbooba patronized Jamaat activists, who turned youth into 'human bombs'
2/24/2019 11:34:57 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 24: Massive crackdown against Jamaat activists in south Kashmir has created ripples in the separatist camp in the Valley.
Sources told Early Times that during the past two days more than 250 Jamaat activists have been arrested from different areas in south Kashmir and crackdown is likely to continue for few more days. "This exercise has been taken up to stop the indoctrination of the youth, who have been turned into human bombs and terrorists by the hardliners," sources added.
An insider said that the Pulwama terror attack in which more than 40 CRPF jawans were martyred has led to security agencies taking major decisions. "It has been decided that no terrorist would be spared. And the people who are propagating the cause of Pakistan and are instigating youth to pick up arms would be dealt with sternly. They would be shown their right place," he added.
They said that top officers of the security forces are leading the operations against terrorists from the front and have decided to wipe out terrorism from the Valley. "A strategy is being framed to ensure that no one calls for strikes in Kashmir and orchestrates stone-pelting and protests near the encounter sites," sources added.
They said that investigations have revealed that Jamaat activists, who were patronized by the former PDP regime, have been instrumental in spreading hate and indoctrinating the youth. "These people were given free hand by the government led by Mehbooba Mufti and during her rule terror industry flourished in Kashmir. When Mehbooba was ruling Jammu and Kashmir nationalist people kept on screaming at the top of their voices that Kashmir is slipping away as the people ruling the state are playing into the hands of separatists and the Pak stooges," said an analyst.
He said at that point of time no one paid any heed towards the hue and cry raised by the people, who had gauged the gravity of the situation. "It's unfortunate that the ones who were entrusted with the responsibility to handle the state strengthened the hands of anti-national forces, who have put Kashmir on the path of destruction and devastation."
The analyst said that unfortunate part is that everything was happening beneath the nose of the BJP ministers in the state government but they just kept quiet. "These ministers were busy reaping the fruits of power and in the process they compromised with the national interests. What a shame!"
