Uhdampur, Feb 28: Mahatma Gandhi Marg at Rathian village of District Udhampur craves for attention. The area is just three kilometers from the city and an important link road to the National Highway passing through Rathian and Phangyal area. Thousands of people , including females and school students use this road daily but the area lacks proper facilities. The locals, reports said, have taken up the matter with the concerned repeatedly without results. Students informed early times that they faced hardships especially during the rainy season when the condition of the road worsens. A local said that the estimate for construction of the road was prepared several times but funds were never released. The locals have sought appropriate emasures. |
