| 4 bovines rescued, vehicle seized by police | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Mar 10: District Police Samba has succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal by rescuing 4 bovines.
A Police Party of P/S Ghagwal headed by Inspr. Rajeev Kumar, SHO P/S Ghagwal under the supervision of Deepak Digra DySP Hqrs. Samba and under the overall supervision of Faisel Qureshi Addl SP Samba during vehicle checking naka at NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal signaled to stop Mahindra Vehicle bearing Regd. No. JK08F-0188 which was coming from Kathua side.
During checking of the said vehicle, 4 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 24/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started. |
