Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 14: A group of progressive Farmers from Agriculture and allied sectors of Jammu Division called upon the newly appointed Director of Agriculture Jammu, Pawan Singh Rathore, KAS at Conference Hall Krishi Bhawan, Jammu today as a welcome gesture. Director Agriculture Jammu, during his address on the occasion expressed gratitude to the farmer representatives and progressive farmers of different fields for their welcome gesture and assured them to work for the improvement in performance of the fepartment at all levels for the highest welfare of farming community. Rathore said that timely and proper uitilization of funds under various centrally sponsored schemes and state level schemes are the priority and will ensure early achievement of all targets for the benefit of farmers. He further assured the participating farmers that Extension agency of the department shall be mobilized positively to create mass awareness about various Farmer's Welfare Schemes and Programmes at gross root level. Interacting on the occasion, farmers discussed various issues relating Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, Ravi-Tawi, Ranbir Canal, irrigation facility, supply of electricity, marketing of Agri- Produce and other issues. Some of the queries raised by the farmers were answered on spot by the officers present. The other officers present on Occasion Include Joint Director (Inputs), Bulesh Kumar Zutshi, Joint Director (Extension), Anil Arora, Deputy Director of Agriculture (Central) Jammu, K. K. Sharma and Subject Matter Specialist (RL) Jammu, Vinod Raina. Progressive Farmers namely Sh Kulbhushan Khajuria of Sohanjana, S. Tajinder Singh Wazir, Member State Advisory Board for Welfare of Kisans, Sat Pal Singh, Member State Advisory Board for Welfare of Kisans, S. Tunda Singh of Dayala Chak, Raghunandan Khajuria, Bishnah, Diwan Chand Khajuria, Bishnah, Ranjeet Singh, Akalpur, Madan Mohan, Bhalwal, Mohd Yousaf, Bhalwal, Kuldeep Raj, Mandal, Varun Kumar, Kanachak, Suraj Parkesh, Jourian, Ram Lal, Jourian, Baba Ram, Miran Sahib, Baldev Singh and Subash Chander among other participated in the programme. |
