Udhampur, Mar 14: In this contemporary world , where masses have forget the Bamboo Art, Ravi Kumar, resident of Udhampur has kept art live and flourishing from last 28 years. Ravi Kumar Resident is engaged in the Bamboo art from the last 28 Years. And is master in making ships, fruit tray, pen stand, flower pots and many items from Bamboo. While talking to Early Times Ravi Kumar said that right from his child hood he saw many exhibition's in school and impressed from that and committed himself that one day I will become a famous Bamboo Artists. He added that he made ships, fruit tray, pen stand, flower pots and many others items from Bamboo. Further, department organized many tour for us to explore our talent and I have attended all the tours. Also I sell products made from Bamboo in the market, and many people from across the region buy it from me. Ravi said "Narendra Modi led Government as well as the department helped us and supported us a lot . Further, many students come to me and I teach them, how to make Bamboo items. I have also made small Shikara model, small ships model and people love those items". |
