Samba, Mar 21: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor in the district, Samba Police in the jurisdiction of P/S Bari Brahmana has arrested one bootlegger and recovered 15 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession. Acting on specific information regarding the sale of illicit liquor near Main Bazar, Bari Brahmana, a Police Party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspr. Darshan Singh, SHO P/S Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana rushed at the spot and intercepted one person namely Balwant Moria S/o Jatadhari R/O Basantpur Mehrajgang,Uttar Pardesh A/P Bari Brahmana who was selling illicit liquor to the general public near Ahatah Market Main Bazar, Bari Brahmana. During frisking of the said person 11 bottles of JK Desi Whisky (750 ml each), 1 bottle of MC Whisky (750 ml), 1 bottle of Himalayan RUM (750 ml) & 2 bottles of JK Desi Whisky (250 ml each) of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. The said accused person was arrested and the contraband items were also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 37/2019 US 48 (F) Excise Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and further investigation started. |
