| AJKBCU demands for separate advisory board | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 24 AJKBCU demands framing of separate Advisory Board, representation All J&K Backward Classes Union (AJKBCU) today has demanded from the State Government constitution of separate advisory board for upliftment of backward class, grant of OBCs scholarship at party with schedule caste, schedule tribe and representation to OBC in Legislative assembly. Addressing a press conference here today, Madan Lal Kashyap, member of the Union and chairman J&K Congress Committee OBC cell said that Other Backward classes in J&K state are struggling hard for their constitutional rights as mentioned above, in this regard we approached each and every person from pillar to post to get our genuine demands solved, but till date we got only lip sympathies. He further said that the present Govt. have failed to keep its words even after agreeing to solve the burning problems. The People concerning with OBC are showing their resentment for not doing the reservation justice to OBC which is the legitimate right as enshrined in the constitution, he added. The others demands highlighted included issuance of instruction to all DDCS for issue of certificate on castes basis and change of nomenclature from OSC to OBC immediately which have been already been approved by the Govt. 16th Nov 2007, immediate relief of enhancement reservation quota of social caste (OBC) from 2% to at least 10% as agreed by the Chief Minister, against the demand of 27% as per Mandal Commission report up held by Supreme Court Judgement 1992 and others. Leaders of the Union appeal the Govt to issue necessary instructions /orders to fulfill our long pending demands hence-forth-with before of Darbar move other wise people will be left with no other option to come to in the streets and agitate against the preset Govt. |
